BiographyClassicly trained music teacher
I'm a classically trained musician starting my music career at the early age of 5 under the direction of Mr John Roper, a Licentiate and Graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London. I began my training on the electronic organ followed by the piano and finally the violin. At the age of 13 I had gained my grade 8 on the organ and a few years later had grade 8 in the piano, violin and theory. In 2003 I attained a BA Honours Degree in Music from the University of East Anglia and was awarded The Leslie Trafford Scholarship in performance during my first year. In the Summer of 2010, I was appointed as an Examiner for the London College of Music, serving on both their grade exam and diploma panels and in 2011, I was invited to be a member of the EQMB (External Qualifications Management Board) at the London College of Music. I have over 24 years of musical experience combined with 10 years of private teaching experience and have regularly been performing in concerts and with orchestras from the age of 12 and currently play with the Norwich Music Group directed by Philip Aldred; the Chief Examiner at the London College of Music. I currently run my own successful music school; A.M.S Music Tuition teaching Mondays to Saturdays and regularly perform at weddings, corporate events and private functions in and around the Norfolk area. |
